Contact stabilization process: This treatment method is activated sludge, which is suitable for high turbidity wastewater. In this method, by keeping the bacteria hungry, the absorption and consumption of wastewater organic matter by bacteria is increased, so that from a stabilization tank with a residence time of 4 to 6 hours, aerated activated sludge without any feeding to microorganisms They are starved and then transferred to the aeration tank, in which the microorganisms consume all the substances in the effluent as feed by feeding them through the incoming sewage.
Process Continuous aeration: Activated sludge with high aeration time between 24 to 36 hours. In this process, there is no initial settling tank and due to the high aeration time, no digestion and condensing facilities are required. And does not have sludge stabilization.
Because the sludge in the aeration tank becomes stable due to long-term aeration. Of course, in the sanitary wastewater treatment package, an aeration digester unit is considered for the excess sludge. Higher capacities of the conventional aeration process are performed. One of the reasons is the need for a large aeration tank and a large amount of aeration, which is not economically and operationally justified in high discharges.
