[Atonix optical sensor BEN5M-MFR](https://www.automation24.ir/product-244/%D8%B3%D9%86%D8%B3%D9%88%D8%B1-%D9%86
BEN optical sensor series is made in a small and practical size. It has an internal amplifier and indicates the output status of the sensor. This indicator allows users to recognize the operational status of the sensor from a distance. BEN series has a signal amplifier that is made in a small size. This type of optical sensor has an LED indicator, which allows users to remotely recognize the status of the sensor's output.
## Main features of Atonix BEN5M-MFR optical sensor:
● Detection distance of 5 meters
● Made in small dimensions and with multi-volt power supply
● Easy installation with LED status display in the product
● Able to set clairvoyant and clairvoyant modes
● Has LED indicating status and output
● Photo Diode IC resistant to ambient light and electrical noise
Optical sensors are another type of proximity sensors that operate based on sending and receiving infrared waves. These optical sensors detect any object regardless of its type.
Optical sensors are divided into the following three categories:
I: One-sided Diffuse
II: Retroreflective
III: Two-way through-beam
### One way:
In this type of sensors, the transmitter and receiver parts are located next to each other and inside a case. The light sent by the transmitter is spread directly in the environment, and if it hits an obstacle, it is reflected and changed by the receiver. Using the coefficient table below, the performance interval will be determined.
### Reflective:
In this type of sensors, the transmitter and receiver are installed next to each other and inside a case, the light sent by the transmitter is spread in the environment and is reflected directly to the receiver by hitting a reflector (mirror). If there is an obstacle in this path, the light does not reach the receiver and the sensor detects the obstacle.
### Two-way:
In this type of sensors, the transmitter and receiver are located separately from each other and must be installed facing each other. The light sent by the transmitter is emitted in the environment and received by the receiver. If there is an obstacle in this path, the light does not reach the receiver and the sensor detects the presence of an obstacle in front of it.

## Optical sensors are divided into two types, Light on and Dark on, in terms of operation.
Light on: In the normal state where there is no obstacle in front of the sensor, the output of the sensor is inactive, and if the sensor works, the output changes from inactive to active (N.O output).
Dark on: In the normal state where there is no obstacle in front of the sensor, the output of the sensor is active, and if the sensor works, the output changes from active to inactive. (NC output)
