### Regulator
The regulator is a device that, by measuring the power factor of the load, adds the required amount of capacitor to the circuit. In fact, this device detects how much capacitor should be connected to the circuit in order to obtain the desired power factor.
### Working principles of the regulator:
Step 1) Measurement of active and reactive power
Step 2) Calculate the power factor using the relationship COSQ=P/PS
Step 3) Calculate the reactive power required to reach the desired power factor
Step 4) injecting reactive Q kilovar into the circuit

1: The voltage intended for the regulator by the manufacturer should be the same as the mains voltage.
2: The current transformer to feed the regulator must be placed in the main power input to measure both the capacitor current and the load current.
3: The value of C/K should not be greater than the set value, otherwise the error rate will increase.
4: The value of C/k should not be lower than the set value, otherwise the error rate will decrease, but there is a possibility of fluctuation (switching on and off) of one step.
