2- The size of silica particles affects the efficiency of water purification.
3- Spherical particles can suspend suspended particles more effectively.
4-Silica with a higher specific gravity can filter a larger volume of water.
5- The stability of silica is also very important for water purification. Silica must be able to withstand erosion caused by water flow in order to be used for water treatment.
The efficiency of silica in water purification is influenced by many factors:
1- Smaller particle size has a higher contact surface and efficiency increases.
2- Purer silica increases efficiency.
3- Natural silica has a higher purification efficiency than artificial silica.
4- Regular reverse washing cleans silica from suspended particles and pollution and will increase efficiency.
The efficiency of silica in swimming pool water purification is usually between 90 and 95%.
