In this post, we intend to introduce and download the Siemens PSSE software from Siemens. Since its inception in 1976, this software has entered the field of power system simulation. PSSE software was designed in PTI company of America and is currently used in more than 50 countries. Powerful and complex computational algorithms in this software have made it a reliable tool for modeling, analyzing and planning extensive power systems.
PSS/E or PSSE software can be used in various cases such as simulation, analysis and optimization of power system performance. Other features of this software include the possibility of using it on different operating systems such as Windows XP, 7 and 10, Sun Solaris, 2.X, HP 9000 HP-UX 10 DEC ALPHA DIGITAL UNIX, IBM AIX DEC ALPHA OPEN VMS remembered.

By using optimal load balancing, system performance cost can be reduced. The OPF can solve the complete load spreading equation by maintaining the real and virtual power coupling to obtain the amount of each of them. OPF can also be used to quickly define and solve the most complex power system optimization problems. In PSS/E software, it is possible to check very scattered systems or very dense systems (with 500,000 buses). Another important advantage of OPF is in choosing the best solution for the problem. In the common methods of load spreading, the engineer has to examine various solutions to achieve a suitable solution, while the OPF tool directly changes the control conditions to reach the best solution. So that all system conditions are satisfied simultaneously and costs are minimized and performance is optimized. Various load distribution models are predefined in the OPF tool.
