The elevator switchboard is one of the important electrical parts. This piece is sometimes known as the main board of the elevator. The elevator switchboard is placed in the engine room. This board is considered a kind of processor or processing center for the elevator.

One of the important tasks of the elevator control panel is to control the speed of the elevator motor. In fact, when the engine speed is controlled, it causes smooth movement and prevents sudden shocks from reaching the cabin. The next thing is to control the direction of movement. In fact, the range of the elevator determines whether the cabin should move up or down. The internal and external buttons of the elevator send the user's message to the elevator's electrical panel, and the processing is done by the control panel. Of course, this board also controls other equipment. Some equipment including in the cabin, switches, brakes, etc. are controlled by the control panel. This board is responsible for the electrical protection of the equipment as well as the real-time detection of the cabin position.

Types of elevator electrical panels

In general, the electrical panel of elevators is divided into two parts in one category. One type of control panel is known as two-speed or AC2 and the other type is known as single-speed or 3vf. Both of the mentioned dashboards have advantages and features that make them superior to each other.

Two-speed switchboard (AC2)

As can be seen from the name of this control board, in the structure of this model of boards, special motors are used that can move using two speeds. In fact, the structure of the motors of this model of the control panel has two coils. The way this model of elevators works is in such a way that at first they start moving with their rapid rotation in a stationary state. After starting up, it reaches the desired speed and after reaching the desired floor, the speed of the elevator decreases and while reaching that floor, the speed becomes zero.

Single speed switchboard

Single-speed elevator control panel or driver is also known as one of the most famous and popular control panels available in the market. This model of the control panel has more fans due to its unique structure. In fact, single-speed elevator control panels are equipped with electric drivers that allow the motors to change speed and torque.
