The efficiency of the calorimeter (hydration heat measurement device):
This device is used to determine the hydration heat of cement using the water solution method.
The device consists of a double-walled glass flask that is placed in a wooden insulated box. .
The accessories included with the device include an electric stirrer, a Beckman thermometer (100-part adjustable mercury thermometer) and a cement pouring funnel. Different chemical and physical methods and determining the specific heat capacity of different materials are used. The root of the word calorimeter comes from the Greek word calor, which means heat in Latin. There are different types of calorimeters, including isothermal or isothermal calorimeters, differential scanning calorimeters, volumetric or titration calorimeters, and reaction rate increasing calorimeters, which are the most common types of calorimeters.
